On December 28, 2024, Ye Han, a young screenwriter and director from Jinding Media, was selected for the "CFDG China Young Film Director Support Program". Nearly 500 films across the country were selected and advanced to the top 20.

Ye Han graduated from the Department of Cinema and Television of Hong Kong Baptist University. The imagination is larger than the head, and it is good at making films with black humor and absurd genres.

Ye 唅 has produced a lot of works in the field of film and television: "March on! Single Dog", "Campus Strange Legend", "My Maid is the Director", "The Martial Arts Gate" and more than 10 other films.

He has written and directed a series of works such as the BMW M5, Audi Q7, and Yuandadao in commercial films and other projects.

The CFDG China Young Film Directors Support Program (also known as the "Green Lion Program") is a public welfare film activity guided by the National Film Administration and hosted by the China Film Directors' Association. It aims to discover promising young director talents and provide full industrial chain support for their outstanding film projects, including script, production, investment and financing, and promotion and distribution.

The "Green Onion Project" was officially launched in 2015, initiated by Director Li Shaohong, who was then the president of the China Film Directors' Association. Directors Feng Xiaogang, Jia Zhangke, Zhang Yimou, Xie Fei, Ning Hao, Guan Hu, Huang Jianxin, Tian Zhuangzhuang and Chen Kaige served as the chairpersons of each term, and Wang Hongwei, the secretary-general of the China Film Directors' Association, was the chairman.

Among the entries submitted for this year's Green Onion Plan, the genres and themes have become more diverse and rich, widely focusing on multiple fields such as drama, suspense, family, romance, and female-themed works. The number of comedy genres has also increased compared to previous years. In addition, various genres such as horror and thriller, fantasy and science fiction, action and adventure, and youth and growth are also involved. The creative trend not only enriches the genre dimensions of the film market but also further broadens the expression paradigm of film art. A more important signal is that young directors are beginning to place market demands ahead of the scriptwriting stage, making the watchability of future films more in line with the market environment and not losing the sharpness and sensitivity of emerging authors.
